Welcome to Our Home, an enthralling adult visual novel set in the charming town of Pinepool. Nestled in the heart of the countryside, Pinepool thrives on tourism and two large transport companies.
Our Home follows the journey of a young man who has spent his entire life in an orphanage, with no knowledge of his past. As far as he knows, his mother died during childbirth, but this information is unconfirmed. His father left before he was born, and he has no other details about his family or history. As he enters adulthood and leaves the orphanage, he faces numerous challenges while seeking answers to the many mysteries surrounding his life.
Join us on this compelling journey and indulge in the excitement, discovery, and rich narrative that Our Home has to offer.

- Amelia: Expanded on how her life connects with the other characters and how the MC leaving the orphanage deeply impacted her story.
- Jonathan & MC: We enriched their friendship, which was previously implied but not explicitly developed. Now, their bond is clearer, setting up future events. Jonathan in the present is not the same as before, and you’ll understand why as the story unfolds.
- MC & Emily: MC ’s love for Emily now has more depth. We explored the reasons behind his long-standing feelings and added special scenes and memories to give more context to their relationship. Since Emily is our main love interest (LI), it was important to clarify how deep MC ’s feelings truly run.
- MC: We expanded on his journey from leaving the orphanage to arriving in the city, adjusting the sequence of events to make them more coherent.
- Samantha & Hank: Their interactions have been improved, highlighting Samantha’s crucial role in uncovering Norah’s secrets. Some of these details were already introduced in recent versions, but now we’ve enriched past events even further.
- Juliana: The first meeting with the MC feels more natural now. There are still some minor adjustments needed, but we believe her past connections are now better integrated into the story.
- Matilda: Her introduction has been refined, as she plays a significant role in the future. She needed a stronger presence in her first appearance, subtly setting up her importance to the MC’s story.
- Other Characters: Marta, Kim, Lorena, Raphael, Bruna, Nicole, and Danielle have more detailed introductions, enriching their stories. The changes may feel less impactful since these characters don’t require major interactions early in the game. However, we ensured the rework was complete up to the point where the MC gets a haircut and new clothes—otherwise, you’d have a reworked character suddenly reverting to Lord Farquaad hair before the final cutscene.
How to Access the New Prologue
- For existing players:
- The prologue will be available in the Replay Menu (both from the main menu and within a save file).
- When loading a save, a one-time prompt will appear, asking if you’d like to watch the new prologue. You’re not forced to watch it, but we highly recommend it.
- For new players:
- The new prologue will play automatically when starting a fresh game.
- Next Steps
I hope you enjoy the results. With the prologue out of the way, our focus for 2025 will be on expanding free-roam content and advancing the main story. Our goal is to complete Chapter 1 within 18 months. It’s an ambitious timeline, and that’s just for the main story—we’ll still have free-roam and side stories to develop.

- Technical Changes:
- GUI: The user interface has been extensively revised to provide a more pleasant and intuitive visual experience.
- Transitions: We reduced the transition time by 50% in 90% of the scenes, speeding up the experience without compromising gameplay, especially during time and location changes.
- Audio: We adjusted 90% of the sound effect volumes to make them more uniform and pleasant. The audio was adjusted directly in the game, and the original audio files remain unchanged.
- Character Screen: Restructured to make information more accessible, highlighting each character’s depth and making it easier to remember past events.
- Hints and Missions: Improved the presentation of hints, offering a clearer view of pending missions and enriching navigation in free-roam mode with daily events for deeper interaction with characters.
- Initial Settings: It is now possible to disable any internet interaction, with the caveat that this will also disable some game features. We also included the option to disable Discord Rich Presence during the game.
- Main Menu: Redesigned with a more minimalist approach and more intuitive icons.
- Save and Load Screen: Increased the number of slots per page and implemented pagination in the sidebar, maintaining visual consistency with the main menu.
- Gallery: Follows the same logic as the other menus, with a new feature: secret images are now included with scene replays, allowing more time to produce secret renderings in each version.
- Preferences Menu: Aligned with the dynamics of the other menus, and the name of the menu that translates relationships has been adjusted to be more semantic.
- Secret Photos: Now appear on the map as lost photographs and can be found anywhere on the map.
- New Feature: Save Recovery: We have added a new function to help recover progress from old saves. If you encounter an issue with your save, you can use a button displayed on the screen to attempt to recover your progress. This feature is experimental and should only be used if your save is truly broken.
- Important Instructions: Do not mix files from the latest public version with the files from this version. The game has undergone several changes, and mixing these files can compromise its execution. Only copy the save files or open the game directly.
- Dialogues: Approximately, 2100 (Dialogues refer exclusively to conversations between characters or thoughts).
- Renders: Around, 2200 (Not considering renders for animation).
- Animations: Around 18.
- Additional Features: Cloud Save, VN Mode, Higram, Achievements, User Notes.
- Many Others content: Secret renders, Original songs, Sound Effects and more.

- Common questions
- Does your game have NTR?
- NO.
- How tall is the MC?!
- The height of the MC is 1.85 m.
- Is the MC a beta?
- N.O. He’s just a guy who just got out of the orphanage and grows up and learns things throughout the game.
- The sandbox
- See a lot of comments about the game being sandbox, so decided to write some clarification, The sandbox/point click is not a GRIND and optional, it gives you access to exclusive free-roam events to explore the game further, see story details that are not available in the linear version, and can be disabled at any time from version 2.6.0 from the game onwards.
- The sandbox tag has been removed because it is no longer necessary. The sandbox/freeroam mode is optional, and during a survey I conducted, about 70% of players who played Our Home in the latest public version preferred VN mode. Therefore, VN mode is more popular than Free-Roam mode. Consequently, I made a change to put VN mode at the focus of the game, ensuring that people who usually exclude the free-roam tag will discover the game.
